The exhibition, themed “How We Build, How We Live,” goes beyond aesthetics, Sanwo-Olu said, as it explores innovative, environmentally friendly, and resilient solutions that ensure functionality in urban spaces.
“Lagos is a city that is constantly evolving. From housing developments to bustling markets, from bridges to creative workspaces, everything we see started as a vision. But vision alone is not enough, we need skilled professionals, supportive policies, responsible institutions, and sustainable financing. This exhibition brings all these essential elements together,” he noted.
The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to building a modern, liveable, and inclusive Lagos, stressing that quality design and durable construction are necessities for sustainable cities.
He praised Ecobank for spotlighting young professionals, artisans, and small businesses, describing them as the “true builders” who translate ideas into reality. He further urged financial institutions to approach housing, infrastructure, and design as viable and sustainable projects with lasting societal benefits.

Sanwo-Olu also charged professionals in the construction and design ecosystem to push the boundaries of innovation, adopt eco-friendly practices, and ensure inclusivity in shaping structures that will stand the test of time.
Congratulating Ecobank, the organisers, and participants, the governor expressed optimism that the exhibition would spark fresh partnerships, inspire bold ideas, and lead to projects that mirror the aspirations of Lagos, Nigeria, and Africa at large.
