The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure victory if he seeks re-election in the 2027 general elections.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Kalu made this assertion on Wednesday during an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, where he stated that opposition figures such as former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, and the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, cannot defeat Tinubu at the polls.

According to the former Abia State Governor, Tinubu has made visible progress in stabilising and reviving Nigeria’s economy since assuming office.

“President Tinubu has done well to turn around the nation’s economy,” Kalu said, stressing that the President’s ongoing reforms will yield long-term benefits for Nigerians.
He also cautioned former President Jonathan against considering another run for the presidency, noting that the constitution bars him from contesting again after serving a full term.
