The Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme, under the administration of Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, recorded another milestone today as residents of Orimedu, Orofun, and Akodo communities in Ward C1 benefitted from the initiative.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the exercise witnessed an impressive turnout of eligible residents, many of whom described the programme as timely support that would ease the current economic strain on families.
Speaking during the exercise, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to grassroots welfare.
He said: “The Conditional Cash Transfer is not just about financial assistance, it is about restoring dignity and providing hope for families. Our people deserve the assurance that government is with them every step of the way.”
Community members also expressed joy and gratitude. A beneficiary, Mrs. Yetunde Akinola from Orimedu, said: “This support means a lot to us, especially at a time when many families are struggling. I thank the government for remembering us.”

Another beneficiary from Akodo, Mr. Fatai Sulaimon, added: “It is encouraging to see leadership that listens and cares for the welfare of its people. This initiative is a lifeline for many households.”
The smooth registration process, coupled with the cooperation of residents, underscored the strong partnership between the local government and the communities.
The programme continues tomorrow at Ward C2, covering Okun-Ilado, Iberekodo, and Magbon-Alade.
