Epe Division of Lagos State on Friday celebrated the appointment of three of its indigenes as Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service, marking another proud moment that underscores the division’s enduring tradition of excellence, unity, and service.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the newly appointed officers are Mrs. Adedeji Oluwakemi Amudat, Dr. Pitan Adesola Ayodele, and Mrs. Alaka Monsurat Titilope.

Their emergence has been hailed as a testament to Epe’s long-standing tradition of producing competent administrators, visionary leaders, and committed public servants.
Epe Division has over the years earned a solid reputation for its significant contributions to Lagos State governance.
Historical records show that at one point, the division proudly produced seven Permanent Secretaries, a milestone that positioned Epe as one of the most represented divisions in the state’s civil service structure.
Among the latest appointees is Mrs. Adedeji Oluwakemi Amudat, a seasoned administrator and economist with more than three decades of service in the Lagos State Civil Service. Until her elevation, she was Director of Administration and Human Resources at the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget.

A graduate of the University of Lagos where she earned a B.Sc. in Economics and an M.Sc. in Finance, Mrs. Adedeji is also the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Epe Division Professional Women Association. Known for her discipline, leadership and mentorship of young officers, her appointment is seen as a well-deserved recognition of dedication and consistent performance.
Also on the list is Dr. Adesola Ayodele Pitan, a distinguished medical practitioner and public administrator whose service to Lagos State spans both the health and education sectors. He previously served as Commissioner for Health from 1999 to 2006 and later as Commissioner for Education from 2006 to 2007.

Dr. Pitan is credited with major reforms that strengthened public healthcare delivery, including the establishment of the Lagos State Health Service Commission and the State AIDS Control Agency. His return to government as a Permanent Secretary is viewed as a continuation of his long-standing commitment to improving public institutions and service standards in Lagos.
The third appointee, Mrs. Monsurat Titilope Alaka, brings strong financial and administrative expertise to her new position. She was until her appointment the Director of Finance and Accounts at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.

A proud daughter of the Kadri Odedeogboro family in Epe, Mrs. Alaka is celebrated for her integrity, accountability and professional excellence. Her promotion has been greeted with joy in Epe where residents see her rise as another confirmation of the division’s deep talent and enduring contribution to Lagos State development.
For many observers, the appointment of these three distinguished Epe indigenes represents history repeating itself.
Epe once again stands tall in Lagos State’s governance landscape, proud of its sons and daughters who embody the values of service, excellence and legacy.
