President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Tolu Obamuroh, a distinguished Nigerian lawyer, on his elevation to partnership at White & Case LLP, one of the world’s leading international law firms headquartered in New York.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Obamuroh’s appointment as a reflection of Nigerian talent, resilience, and global excellence.

Obamuroh, who will officially assume his new role on January 1, 2026, was named a Partner in the firm’s International Arbitration Practice based in Paris. He is one of only three new partners appointed globally in the practice area, and the only one in the Paris office among the firm’s 46 offices worldwide.
Significantly, Obamuroh is also the only Nigerian-qualified lawyer in this year’s global partner class, a feat President Tinubu described as “a source of national pride.”
According to the statement, Obamuroh has built a distinguished career representing sovereign governments and major corporations in high-value, cross-border disputes across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
He also serves as a trusted adviser to the Government of Nigeria in several international legal matters under the supervision of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.
President Tinubu praised Obamuroh’s achievement as a powerful symbol of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which envisions a Nigeria whose citizens lead and excel globally through merit, integrity, and professionalism.
