The message invited West for “fact-finding purposes,” stating his name appeared in an investigation involving multiple unspecified criminal allegations and related offences.
He was instructed to appear before the Area Crime Officer at the Maitama Command by 3pm on Monday, October 27, 2025.
West questioned the validity of the invitation, arguing on social media that WhatsApp seemed inappropriate for formal police communication or summons.
He also pointed out that the detective allegedly addressed him incorrectly, further casting doubt on the authenticity of the police message.
The development follows a viral video where Regina Daniels accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of domestic violence and abuse.
In response, West vowed to defend his sister, alleging that Nwoko assaulted her and deployed thugs to intimidate their family.
