Speaking to the gathering, he maintained that differences within a community do not equate to disunity but present opportunities for growth and deeper understanding.
“Their agitations are signs of good leadership,” he stated. “I’ve forgiven all of them, they’re my children.”
The monarch also restated the cultural and historic importance of the Alara throne, assuring that the sacred traditions and values of Ilara remain intact under his watch.

“The throne of Alara is a sacred and historic one deeply etched in Yoruba culture and traditions,” he said. “The issues we face are not alien to any community on the path of growth.”
On the controversial issues surrounding land and presence in the community, Oba Ogunsanwo provided clarifications, stressing that most lands within the kingdom are already under government acquisition, and that the free allocation of land to the Nigerian Navy was a strategic, council–approved decision in the community’s interest.
“The Nigerian Navy got the land at no cost,” he emphasized, adding that the move was endorsed by the Alara-in-Council.
He also cited his administration’s socio–economic achievements, including scholarships, diplomatic cultural missions, community infrastructure support, and advocacy for a General Hospital in Eredo LCDA.
Highlighting his commitment to youth and education, he revealed sponsorships of both local and international scholars and investments in schools across the region.
