According to her, he consistently stood by her in her profession, business pursuits, and political career, offering guidance, encouragement, and protection.
“He could do anything to make sure I was fine. My brother was always there for me, no matter the situation,” she said.
She recounted that the family had attended the burial of their elder sister on Sunday, but she did not see him throughout the event.
Concerned, she searched for him in several places where she thought he might be, but he was nowhere to be found. She later decided to visit their mother at home.
Narrating the painful memory, Kenny Kadri explained that whenever she arrived at home, she would usually call out her brother’s name and he would immediately come downstairs.
However, on that particular day, her mind was strangely off him, and she left the house without checking on him.
“I don’t know why my mind was not on him that day. Ordinarily, I would have called his name, and he would come downstairs immediately,” she lamented.
Her voice shook as she recalled receiving a call the following morning informing her that her brother had died.
She said she rushed to the scene and immediately took him to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
“I still feel that maybe he would have survived if I had asked after him when I got home,” she added in tears.
Kenny Kadri’s testimony left many attendees emotional, as her words captured the pain, regret, and shock surrounding the sudden loss of the education administrator.
The session ended with prayers for comfort and strength for the family, as well as supplications for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Mr. Olatunde Rafiu Kadri.
