The Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Monsur Ismail Akinloye, represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Lateef Adesanya, on Monday, December 22, 2025, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Igbooye Primary Health Centre.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the ceremony formed part of activities marking the one-year coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba (TPL) Abdulrasaq Akanni Musa, the Orijeru of Igbooye Kingdom.

Speaking at the event, the Vice Chairman conveyed the Chairman’s excitement and appreciation for the initiative, particularly commending the Orijeru and the Igbooye community for the provision of land for the health facility.
He described the project as a significant step towards improving access to quality healthcare for residents of Igbooye and its environs.
According to him, the Primary Health Centre, when completed, will serve the health needs of the community and humanity at large, reflecting the administration’s commitment to grassroots healthcare development.
Representing the Orijeru of Igbooye Kingdom, the Olisa of Igbooye, Chief (Engr.) Abdulbariu Olugbenga Quadri, commended Hon. Monsur Ismail Akinloye, Hon. Lateef Adesanya, and their team for approving and initiating the project in Igbooye community.
He described the gesture as timely and people-oriented, assuring that the community is fully committed to ensuring the successful completion of the health centre.
He further expressed optimism that the commissioning of the Igbooye Primary Health Centre would take place in the near future, noting that the project aligns with the community’s vision for improved welfare and development.
Several dignitaries attended the groundbreaking ceremony, including Chief Morufu Oludare Salami, the Egbo of Igbooye Kingdom; Chief Rasaki Sanni, the Otun of Igbooye;
Chief Oluranti Adebanjo, the Eleku of Igbooye; Chief Christopher Oluwole Ariyo, Bale of Erimope; Mr. Samuel Orekoya; Mr. Adewale Ipaye; Mr. Sulaimon Azeez; and Mr. Idris Adebanjo Salami, who anchored the programme, alongside youths and other community members.
The event highlighted the collaborative efforts between traditional institutions, the local government, and the community in advancing healthcare infrastructure and overall development in Igbooye Kingdom.
