During the Eid-el-Kabir prayer celebration in Epe Kingdom, Otunba Shakirudeen Anifowoshe Denge, the Akinrogun of Epe, made a passionate call for peace, unity, and selfless leadership within the community in an interview with him.

Ekohotblog reports that addressing dignitaries, worshippers, and residents who gathered to mark the sacred Islamic festival, Otunba Denge urged leaders across all sectors to prioritize the well-being of the people above personal interests.

“Leadership is not about personal gain. We must all understand that the purpose of leadership is to serve the people with humility, integrity, and love,” he stated.

The respected community leader emphasized that Epe’s strength has always been rooted in unity, tradition, and mutual respect.

He called on traditional rulers, political leaders, and youth groups to continue upholding peace as a foundation for development.

“We must maintain peace in Epe Kingdom. Let no one sow division or hatred among us. Our strength lies in our unity, and our legacy will be defined by how well we treat each other, regardless of our differences,” he added.
