Chelsea Football Club and head coach Enzo Maresca have reportedly agreed to part ways with immediate effect.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the development was disclosed on Thursday by renowned football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, in a post shared on social media.
Romano wrote, “BREAKING: Chelsea and Enzo Maresca agree to part company with immediate effect. It’s OVER.
“Official statement to follow but all done after tension growing last 24/48h.
“Chelsea will now start working on new manager appointment.”
The reported decision comes amid growing tension between both parties over the last two days, which is said to have worsened the working relationship.
Earlier, Romano had hinted that Chelsea and Maresca were close to a split ahead of the club’s upcoming match against Manchester City.

He stated that the relationship between the club and the coach had deteriorated significantly, with formal steps expected to follow to finalise the separation.
Chelsea are now expected to begin the process of appointing a new manager as they prepare for the next phase of the season.
