EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to Africa Soccer, CAF is reviewing reports submitted by match officials, stadium security personnel and accredited media representatives to determine the events that unfolded after the final whistle.
Second half goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams secured Nigeria’s place in the semi finals of the competition. The outcome, however, triggered strong reactions from the Algerian camp, who accused the officiating team of bias.
Tempers reportedly flared immediately after the match, with several Algerian players confronting referee Issa Sy and his assistants on the pitch. Stadium security officials intervened promptly to prevent the situation from escalating further.
The disorder reportedly extended to sections of the stands, where some Algerian supporters attempted to breach security barriers. There were also reports of damage to parts of the stadium as officials worked to restore order and ensure safety.
CAF has yet to issue an official statement on possible sanctions, but sources say the findings of the investigation will determine whether disciplinary action will be taken against individuals or teams involved.
While the disciplinary process continues, the Super Eagles have shifted focus to their semi final clash against tournament hosts Morocco.
Nigeria is scheduled to train behind closed doors on Monday as preparations intensify for the highly anticipated encounter. The training session will take place at the Complexe Mohammed VI in Rabat, with kickoff scheduled for 6.00 pm local time.

The team and its officials are expected to arrive in Rabat from Fès later in the day and will be accommodated at the Rihab Hotel. Media representatives will be granted access to the opening 15 minutes of the training session on Tuesday.
Nigeria will face Morocco on Wednesday at the Prince Moulay Hassan Stadium, with a place in the AFCON final at stake.
