The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, has commenced the Eko Studio Culture Free Masterclass in Music Production and allied creative disciplines, with successful candidates from the recent auditions officially beginning their intensive training programme.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the initiative is aimed at discovering, grooming and equipping emerging talents with industry-relevant skills, practical exposure and professional guidance needed to thrive in the creative sector.

Implemented in partnership with Dreams Studio, Ikorodu, a recognised creative hub with strong expertise in music production and talent development, the programme will feature structured training sessions facilitated by seasoned industry professionals.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction in modern music production techniques, sound engineering, songwriting, creative entrepreneurship and the business dynamics of the music industry.

The masterclass aligns with Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda, particularly its focus on youth empowerment, employment generation and the strategic development of the creative and cultural economy.
Eko Studio Culture reflects the state government’s commitment to creating sustainable platforms for talent discovery, skills development and innovation, while reinforcing Lagos’ position as Africa’s leading hub for music, arts and creative enterprise.

At the conclusion of the programme, participants are expected to demonstrate improved technical competence, creative confidence and readiness to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the music and broader creative industries.
