Eko Hot Blog reports that the initiative, which is entirely free of charge, is aimed at ensuring that all eligible residents have unhindered access to NIN enrollment, without any financial burden.
The exercise forms part of efforts to promote inclusive national identification and proper documentation of residents within the LCDA.
Residents who are yet to register for their NIN have been encouraged to seize the opportunity by presenting themselves at the designated registration point with the required documents to enable a smooth enrollment process.
The council stressed the importance of the exercise, noting that the NIN remains a key requirement for accessing various government services, financial platforms, and official transactions.
Eredo LCDA urged residents not to miss out on the exercise, emphasizing the need for everyone to be properly identified and captured in the national database as part of responsible civic participation.
