The festival will begin tomorrow with a traditional cleaning exercise scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Friday, a ritual that symbolizes spiritual purification and preparation ahead of the main celebrations.
Oba Animashaun informed residents and visitors that the exercise will necessitate the temporary blockage of the Itaopo–Itamarun route. He advised the public to use the alternative marine route from Ayetoro to link Itamarun during the period of the traditional activity.
The Oloja urged everyone to cooperate with the traditional authorities and exercise patience, emphasizing that the Eebi Festival is a cornerstone of Epe’s cultural heritage and identity.
He also encouraged residents to observe the festival rites respectfully and follow all traditional guidelines to ensure a peaceful and successful celebration.
