Eko Hot Blog reports that the visit followed the successful enrollment of students into the skill acquisition programme earlier initiated by Mrs. Kasali in August 2025. At the time, she invited interested youths to participate in the programme and pledged to personally cover their registration fees.
She has also continued to finance the trainees’ practical sessions and provide the necessary training equipment on a weekly basis.
With registration completed, the students have now begun their training, which is scheduled to span a period of nine months, during which they will acquire practical and marketable skills.
During the visit, Mrs. Kasali interacted closely with the trainees, inspected the training facilities, and encouraged them to remain committed to the programme. She described the initiative as a deliberate investment in their future and urged the students to take full advantage of the opportunity by remaining focused, disciplined, and dedicated.
She further emphasized that skill acquisition remains a critical tool for youth empowerment and self-reliance, particularly in the face of current economic realities.
The students, in turn, expressed gratitude to Mrs. Kasali for her consistent support and for personally visiting the centre to motivate them, describing the gesture as inspiring and reassuring.
The initiative forms part of the broader youth empowerment drive of the Lekki LCDA administration, aimed at promoting self-reliance, reducing unemployment, and equipping young people with sustainable means of livelihood within the council area.
