Eko Hot Blog reports that the meeting brought together party leaders, elected officials, past and present office holders, and key stakeholders from across the LCDA to review progress made so far and chart strategies for intensifying membership registration in all wards and communities.
During deliberations, participants identified major challenges confronting the e-registration exercise, notably National Identification Number (NIN) enrollment constraints and network-related issues, which have slowed down the registration of prospective members.
In a proactive response, the Executive Chairman facilitated a collaboration with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), resulting in the commencement of free NIN enrollment within Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, scheduled to begin Monday, 26th January 2026.
The initiative was widely commended as a timely intervention to ease access and boost participation in the APC e-registration drive.
Speaking at the meeting, the Executive Chairman, represented by the Vice-Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Oluwole Dehinsilu, appreciated party leaders and stakeholders for their unwavering commitment to the growth of the APC.
He urged leaders at all levels to leverage their relationships within communities, neighbourhoods, and social circles to mobilize more members, stressing that party building must be a continuous process beyond election periods.
The meeting was well attended by prominent figures including former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jokotola Pelumi; Party Leader, Otunba Nurudeen Yusuf; former Chairmen, Hon. Olusegun Adetola and Hon. (Dr.) Samson Onanuga; Party Chairman, Hon. Wittu Ajenifuja, alongside APC leaders, LGA and ward executives, CDC representatives, gazetted chiefs, Baales, Iyalojas, transport union leaders, religious leaders, and other stakeholders.
The stakeholders collectively resolved to intensify grassroots mobilization, address emerging challenges promptly, and ensure the successful completion of the APC e-registration exercise across Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
The engagement reaffirmed the council leadership’s commitment to inclusive party growth, strategic planning, and effective grassroots political organization.
