The life and legacy of Erelu Aminat Titilola Dosunmu were honoured during the final prayer rites held in her memory, as family members, friends, and associates gathered to reflect on a life defined by service, faith, and compassion.

Her burial, which took place on January 16, was a solemn and dignified ceremony attended by loved ones and well-wishers who came to pay their last respects.
In continuation of the remembrance activities, a special Firdaus prayer session was organised on January 18. The programme featured opening prayers, recitations from the Holy Qur’an and praises of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

During the session, members of the family, including Taiwo and Kenny Dosunmu, shared brief reflections on her life and values.
Born on April 14, 1965, in Lagos into the Martins family, Erelu Aminat Titilola Alake Folashade Dosunmu was educated at Gbagada Girls Grammar School, Bariga. She later travelled to the United States, where she received professional training in psychiatric nursing and devoted her career to caring for others with diligence and empathy.
Those who knew her described her as a woman of deep faith, kindness and resilience, whose life was a clear reflection of Islamic values.
She was known for her commitment to family, community service and her Deen, as well as her passion for humanitarian work and mentoring young people. Her calm approach to resolving disputes and her sincere concern for others earned her widespread respect.
