The Baale in Council of Ibeju-Lekki has recorded another chapter in its leadership history with the formal presentation of its newly appointed Chairman, High Chief Rosulilahi Adewale Oluwa, to the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the visit, led by the immediate past Chairman of the council, High Chief (Dr) Adekunle Taiwo, was marked by assurances of unity, continuity, and strengthened cooperation between traditional institutions and the local government.
The Baale in Council, which represents Baales of various towns and villages within Ibeju-Lekki, reaffirmed its readiness to sustain peace and support development efforts across the area.
During the interaction, High Chief (Dr) Adekunle Taiwo expressed strong confidence in the leadership capacity of his successor, noting that the council remains stable and focused on its responsibilities.
In his remarks, High Chief Rosulilahi Adewale Oluwa pledged inclusive leadership, stressing the importance of dialogue and collective action in addressing community needs.
Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa welcomed the new Chairman and praised the council for conducting a smooth and orderly transition, describing traditional rulers as key partners in governance and community stability.
“I am confident that the council will continue to move forward under the leadership of High Chief Rosulilahi Oluwa,” High Chief Adekunle Taiwo said.
“My focus is to strengthen dialogue and cooperation in order to uplift our communities and work closely with the local government,” High Chief Rosulilahi Adewale Oluwa stated.
“The Baale in Council is a vital institution in our local governance structure, and we will continue to work together to deliver meaningful development to our people,” Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa said.
