The University of Lagos (UNILAG) and the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Transnational Education (TNE) programme in Nigeria, marking a major step toward expanding access to globally recognised academic programmes.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the agreement is designed to bring internationally accredited degree programmes to Nigerian students through a dedicated Transnational Education Unit at UNILAG, allowing beneficiaries to gain global exposure and industry-relevant skills without studying abroad, while also strengthening research collaboration and academic capacity between both institutions.
