EKO HOT BLOG reports that Osimhen doubled Galatasaray’s lead in the first half with a composed finish, marking his 200th goal across club and international football. He later provided an assist before being substituted in the 82nd minute, while Mauro Icardi sealed the emphatic victory from the penalty spot.
The landmark goal underlined Osimhen’s red-hot form following his return from the Africa Cup of Nations. He had also scored in Galatasaray’s previous league match, quickly regaining his scoring rhythm after a goalless Champions League encounter against Manchester City.
In his senior career, the 25-year-old has netted 165 goals in 284 club appearances and added 35 goals in 51 matches for Nigeria. His most prolific period came at Napoli, where he scored 76 times, while his impact at Galatasaray has been immediate and remarkable, with 51 goals in 61 games. He also recorded 18 goals for LOSC Lille and 20 for Royal Charleroi SC.
Osimhen has featured in 336 matches overall, contributing 200 goals and 51 assists. He has won league titles in Italy and Turkey, domestic cup honours in Turkey, a FIFA Under-17 World Cup with Nigeria, and individual awards including Serie A top scorer, Turkish Super Lig top scorer, and African Footballer of the Year.
The Nigerian forward has scored across 12 different competitions, with Serie A accounting for his highest return at 65 goals, followed by 33 in Turkey’s top flight. Last weekend, he became the fastest player in Galatasaray’s history to reach 50 goals, reinforcing his influence at the club.

Sunday’s victory keeps Galatasaray atop the Super Lig table with 49 points, extending their lead to six points over second-placed Fenerbahçe, who have a game in hand.
