EKO HOT BLOG reports that Wike made the assertion on Saturday during the inauguration of the group’s office in Port Harcourt.
Speaking at the event, the former Rivers governor said political leaders in the state have the structure and influence required to independently rally support for the President.
“We are working for President Tinubu. We don’t need a governor to mobilize us. We have what it takes to operate independently. We have senators, Assembly members, local government chairmen, National Assembly members, and party chairmen of both APC and PDP,” Wike said.
He added that genuine political support is driven by personal conviction and commitment, not by external direction.
“We have mobilized ourselves to demonstrate our commitment because true support doesn’t need to be brought by someone, you have to make the commitment yourself,” he stated.
Wike described the development as evidence of unity among political stakeholders in Rivers State, noting that local leaders had willingly pledged their support for President Tinubu without coercion.
The FCT minister also stressed that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors would continue to promote the President’s policies and programmes across the state.

The comments come amid ongoing political tension in Rivers State. Wike and the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, have been locked in a protracted disagreement over control of the political structure of the state.
