History was recorded on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the Jata Event Centre & Resort, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, was conferred with the prestigious Starlight Man of the Year Award.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the colourful ceremony also recognised several distinguished personalities for their outstanding contributions to community development and public service.
Among the honourees were the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru; the Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission, Barr. (Mrs.) Olayinka Saidat Oladunjoye; and the lawmaker representing Ibeju-Lekki Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Oladele Ajayi (OLADBABA).
Traditional rulers and community leaders were not left out, including the Aladeshonyin of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, HRM Oba Babatunde Olaogun Ogunlaja (JP); HRM Oba Olayemi Lukman Arowolo of Araromi, Ibeju-Lekki; the Baale of Iraye Community, Chief Moshood Odusegun Anwoju; and the Olori Ebi General of Igbooye Kingdom, Otunba A.I. Musa-Adebamowo.
Also honoured were the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Hon. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (RBK); the Vice-President, Board of Public Administrators in Nigeria and Chairman, Council Managers’ Forum in Lagos State, Amb./Otunba Olayiwola Adedoyin Giwa; the Coordinator of the Kayo-Kayo Festival Committee, Barr. Speaking after receiving his award as Outstanding Community Builder, Alhaji Kola T.A. Seriki commended the organisers for recognising impactful individuals and urged recipients to remain steadfast in their good works.
He dedicated his award to the people of Oke Balogun Community, applauding their collective contributions toward youth engagement, artisan empowerment, and support for widows.
In his remarks, the organiser of the event and Publisher of Starlight Newspaper/Celebrity Magazine, Mr. Damola Aderibigbe, explained that the award ceremony is held annually to celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to community development and humanity.
He noted that recognising achievers serves as motivation for others to contribute meaningfully to society.
The event concluded with appreciation to sponsors, supporters, and attendees who contributed to the success of the 2026 edition, reinforcing the spirit of service and excellence celebrated at the ceremony.
