This year’s marathon will feature two categories, the full 42-kilometre race and a 10-kilometre run, both taking place on the same day.

According to the government, the 42km race will begin at Ahmadu Bello Way near the MRS filling station and proceed along the Coastal Road, which serves as the finishing point.
The 10km race, on the other hand, will start from Durosimi Etti in Lekki Phase 1 and pass through Ozumba Mbadiwe, Bishop Oluwole, Akin Adesola, and terminate at Sanusi Fafunwa.
Authorities stated that all connecting roads, intersections, and junctions along the designated routes will be shut from midnight, with some closures extending into the afternoon. However, certain roads may be reopened temporarily as the race progresses.
To maintain order and restrict access to the race corridors, officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and other security agencies will be deployed at key points.

Osiyemi assured residents that traffic officers would be stationed strategically to guide motorists through alternative routes.
He also encouraged Lagosians to plan their movements ahead of time and consider other transportation options where possible.
The government appealed for patience and cooperation from the public, noting that the temporary restrictions are necessary for the successful hosting of the 11th edition of the marathon.
