The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has adjusted rail schedules on the Blue and Red Lines ahead of this year’s edition of The Experience, the globally renowned gospel concert expected to attract massive crowds to Lagos Island.
Eko Hot Blog reports that LAMATA announced the extended service hours in a statement issued by its Head of Corporate Communication, Kolawole Ojelabi, explaining that the measure will ease movement before and after the annual worship gathering.

According to the agency, the Blue Line will operate well beyond its regular closure time on Friday, December 5, with trains scheduled to run until 11:43 pm instead of the usual 9:30 pm.

For Saturday, December 6, operations will begin earlier at 4:00 am and continue through 9:30 pm to support morning commute and post-event traffic.
The authority further confirmed that the Red Line will maintain its standard timetable on Friday, operating from 6:00 am to 10:00 am, and again between 5:20 pm and 8:40 pm. It reiterated that the Red Line does not run on Saturdays.

LAMATA assured that both lines will revert to their normal schedules from Sunday, December 7, while urging commuters to plan ahead and use their Cowry Cards for seamless access.
