The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has extended warm Lenten greetings to Christian faithful across the council area as the solemn season begins.

Eko Hot Blog reports that in a message released on behalf of the council, the Chairman described Lent as a sacred and significant period in the Christian calendar, marked by prayer, fasting, sacrifice, and renewed devotion to God.
“As we enter the solemn and reflective season of Lent, I extend my warm greetings to all Christian faithful across Eredo LCDA.”
Hon. Akinloye emphasized that Lent offers an opportunity for deep reflection, repentance, and spiritual growth as believers journey toward Easter with faith and humility.
“Lent is a sacred period of prayer, fasting, sacrifice, and renewed devotion to God. It is a time for deep reflection, repentance, and spiritual growth as we journey toward Easter with faith and humility.”
He further prayed that the holy season would strengthen the faith of residents and promote love, unity, and peace within families and the wider community.

The Chairman also expressed hope that the prayers and sacrifices offered during the period would translate into blessings and continued progress for the council area.
