The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed that it is actively investigating the rape allegation made by TikTok user Abigail Nsikak, popularly known as Mirabel, assuring the public that the matter is being handled with professionalism and sensitivity.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement released on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, said the complainant visited the police station, where she was received and immediately taken to a medical facility for examination in order to verify her claims.

He explained that the complainant has been cooperating with investigators as enquiries continue.

According to the Command, arrangements have been made to ensure her welfare and support needs are addressed. She has been handed over to the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development for further care, while remaining available to assist with the investigation whenever required.
The Ministry has assured the police that it will provide appropriate support and will present her for further proceedings as the case develops.
The Command reiterated that the investigation is being conducted with diligence and urged members of the public to avoid speculation, stressing that further updates will be communicated as necessary.
