EKO HOT BLOG reports that the former Rivers governor said that despite the expectations of his critics, he proved his experience in politics.
He also expressed gratitude to governors of the All Progressives Congress who supported him during the election process.
Reacting to claims that he overshadowed the APC campaign council during the FCT polls, Wike dismissed the suggestion.
“No. What do you mean by overshadowing? You were there when the deputy Speaker said with the performance of the Minister they had no problem, that my performance made them win the election.
“With all due respect, I’ll like to thank Governor Abdulrahman and Governor Dapo Abiodun. They were very concerned and gave me the necessary support.
“So many people wanted me to fail, but we had to tell them that we’re old in this game. I also commend Governor Ododo for coordinating Abaji LGA in the election.”

Wike maintained that the support he received from party leaders contributed significantly to the outcome of the election in the Federal Capital Territory.
