The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has officially requested testimony from seven individuals, including tech billionaire Bill Gates, as part of its expanding investigation into the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking scandal.
Eko Hot Blog reports that committee Chair James Comer stated that these individuals likely possess information critical to understanding how Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell successfully “curried favor” with the rich and powerful to shield their criminal enterprise for decades.

This latest move follows the November 2025 passage of a bill, signed by President Trump, which compelled the Justice Department to release millions of pages of investigative files.
These documents have shed light on the persistence of Epstein’s elite social network long after his 2008 Florida conviction.
Testimonies are scheduled to take place between April 16 and June 9, 2026. Gates, through a spokesperson, has welcomed the opportunity to appear, maintaining that while he met with Epstein for philanthropic discussions, he never witnessed or participated in any illegal conduct.
The committee is also looking into former White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler, whose name appeared in several released emails expressing an “adoration” for Epstein and requesting White House tours for figures like Woody Allen.
Additionally, Leon Black is expected to face questions regarding the $158 million he paid Epstein for tax services and advice he received from the financier on how to manage the fallout of an extramarital affair.

The investigation has already seen high-drama moments, including last week’s separate testimonies from former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Newly released video from those depositions showed Hillary Clinton threatening to walk out after a photo of her in the hearing was leaked online.
As “Operation Epic Fury” continues to dominate the global military stage, these domestic hearings represent a significant effort by the House to address systemic ethics violations and government mismanagement related to one of the most notorious criminal cases in modern U.S. history.
