Barr. (Mrs.) Saidat Olayinka Oladunjoye, Federal Commissioner representing Lagos State at the National Population Commission (NPC), joined a high-level delegation of the Commission on a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.
The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Aminu Yusuf, as part of ongoing engagements aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration between the NPC and the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
Discussions during the meeting focused on deepening cooperation to enhance national planning and sustainable development through the use of accurate and reliable population data.
Speaking during the engagement, the Minister, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, commended the Commission for its critical role in national development, emphasizing the importance of credible demographic data in shaping effective policies and economic strategies.
He also reaffirmed the commitment of the Federal Government under the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure that population data continues to guide economic planning, governance, and long-term development initiatives across the country.
