Former Deputy Leader of the Legislative Arm of Epe Local Government, Hon. Olayinka Kazeem Oniga, has been officially sworn in as the Special Adviser on Legislative Matters by the Executive Chairman of the council, Surah Olayemi Animashaun.
Eko Hot Blog reports that he swearing-in ceremony, which took place at the council secretariat, marked another step in the Chairman’s efforts to strengthen governance and improve coordination between the Executive and Legislative arms of the local government.
Hon. Oniga, who previously served as Deputy Leader in the Legislative Arm, is widely recognized for his experience in legislative processes and grassroots governance. His appointment is expected to enhance legislative coordination, policy alignment, and effective implementation of council programmes.
Speaking after taking the oath of office, Hon. Oniga expressed appreciation to the Executive Chairman for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to use his experience to support the administration’s developmental agenda.
“I am truly honoured by this appointment from our Executive Chairman, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun. I will dedicate my experience and efforts to strengthening legislative collaboration and supporting policies that will promote development and improved service delivery for our people,” he said.
