Following the incident, the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency warned traders against displaying goods on walkways and roadsides, noting that such practices expose them to avoidable accidents.
TRACE spokesperson, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said a total of 15 persons were involved in the crash.
According to him, six victims; three males and three females sustained injuries, while three others, including a female toddler, an adult female and an adult male, lost their lives.
Akinbiyi attributed the accident to brake failure involving the Howo truck, whose driver reportedly lost control and rammed into other vehicles, crushing commuters who were attempting to board a bus.

The injured victims were taken to the General Hospital Ota for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at the Ifo Morgue.
