Tinubu Swears In Disu as 23rd Inspector-General of Police

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday formally swore in Olatunji Disu as the 23rd Inspector-General of Police at a ceremony held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Shortly after the ceremony, the President presided over the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council, which had in attendance top government officials.

Among those present were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Esther Walson-Jack.

FEC meetings typically deliberate on policy proposals, budgetary approvals and major national projects. Recent council sessions have also considered initiatives such as the procurement of Compressed Natural Gas vehicles for government agencies as part of cost-saving and energy transition measures.
