The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Wale Raji Anomo, has extended a life-changing gesture to a resident, Mr. Ademolu Okesanya, popularly known as Skede, by donating an artificial leg to support his mobility after months of living with an amputated limb.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the humanitarian gesture was made during a Ramadan lecture organized by the Unified Local Government Muslim Staff Association, Ikosi-Ejinrin Branch, where the chairman demonstrated compassion and concern for the welfare of residents in the community.
Okesanya, who had been struggling since the amputation of his leg, was visibly overwhelmed with emotion as he received the artificial limb, expressing gratitude to the chairman for the timely intervention.
“I never supported the chairman before; in fact, I was against him. I never imagined that he would be the one to stand by me in my moment of difficulty.”
He further revealed that even while he was in the hospital, the chairman’s encouragement and support gave him hope during a difficult period of his life.
“His words of encouragement and the support he gave me while I was in the hospital were like healing on their own.”
The donation has been widely commended by residents and community members who described the gesture as a demonstration of compassionate leadership and commitment to the well-being of the people.
The intervention is expected to significantly improve Okesanya’s mobility and help him regain confidence as he gradually returns to his daily activities.
