Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has unveiled the winners who emerged as State and Divisional Ambassadors from the 50 participants in the one-week Boot Camp Residential Training Programme organised by the Ibile Youth Academy.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the unveiling ceremony was held at Lagos House in Ikeja on Tuesday and was attended by the Deputy Governor, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, top government officials, members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (Lagos State chapter) and representatives of the Lagos Youth Parliament.

Speaking at the event, Sanwo-Olu assured youths in the state of his administration’s continued support through programmes and policies aimed at strengthening their leadership capacity and preparing them to compete globally.
The governor also disclosed that some participants would be given opportunities to travel abroad for further leadership training.
In his remarks, the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, described the Ibile Youth Academy as one of the ministry’s flagship initiatives designed to prepare young people for leadership roles.
“The Ibile Youth Academy is a flagship programme of the ministry aimed at equipping young people with knowledge, values and skills required to excel as leaders in any sphere of life,” he said.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu, said the initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to youth empowerment in line with the administration’s THEMES Plus Agenda.

At the end of the training programme, Adetomiwa Banjo emerged as the State Youth Ambassador.
Other winners include Osuntobo Oluwabunmi as Ikeja Divisional Ambassador, Waliat Sulaimon as Ikorodu Divisional Ambassador, Abigael Hungbo as Badagry Divisional Ambassador, Ayomide Dacosta as Lagos Divisional Ambassador and Layole Sumayyah as Epe Divisional Ambassador.
The ambassadors are expected to execute projects aimed at addressing societal challenges within their respective divisions.
During the ceremony, the Ministry presented cash gifts and letters of commendation to outstanding members of the outgoing cohort, while the governor also promised consolation gifts to the 44 participants who did not emerge as winners.
