Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has undergone successful surgery after picking up an injury during a UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash against Liverpool FC.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the injury happened in the second leg at Anfield when Osimhen collided in the air with Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté.

Galatasaray went on to suffer a heavy 4-0 defeat in the match, crashing out of the competition 4-1 on aggregate.
In a statement shared via X, the club confirmed that Osimhen’s procedure was carried out successfully at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital by team doctor Yener İnce, while also expressing optimism over his recovery.
Although their European campaign has ended, Galatasaray will be counting on Osimhen’s contributions as they continue their push for domestic success in the Turkish league and cup competitions.

The striker has been in impressive form this season, registering 19 goals and seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions, helping his side maintain a four-point advantage at the top of the league table.
