Developed by the Lagos Free Zone, Irele Tower is the first of six planned commercial towers aimed at driving enterprise and economic activities in the international trade zone. The facility includes six floors of premium office space, retail outlets, a rooftop café, terraces, and a multi-level car park, all designed to provide a modern business environment.
Speaking at the inauguration, Sanwo-Olu described the project as a strong example of successful public-private partnership, noting that Lagos continues to create an enabling environment for investors.
“Irele Tower complements the Lekki Deep Seaport and the broader industrial corridor, providing modern commercial space for businesses,” he said, adding that the project would unlock new trade opportunities and strengthen Lagos’ position in global commerce.
The governor also highlighted the growing importance of the Blue Economy, explaining that the development would help businesses tap into maritime resources and expand economic activities tied to the port ecosystem.

Also speaking, the Managing Director of the Lagos Free Zone, Adesuwa Ladoja, revealed that construction of the tower began in September 2022 and was completed in phases, with full delivery achieved in 2026. She noted that the project recorded over one million man-hours without any accidents, reflecting strong safety standards.
For Lagos, the inauguration of Irele Tower is more than just a new building, it represents a growing vision to transform the Lekki corridor into a world-class centre for trade, industry, and investment.
