The Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, under the leadership of Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has officially announced the resumption of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise in line with the directive of the Lagos State Government.
Eko Hot Blog reports that according to the notice, the sanitation exercise will now hold on the last Saturday of every month, beginning from Saturday, April 25, 2026, between 6:30am and 8:30am.

Residents across the LCDA are encouraged to actively participate in the exercise by maintaining cleanliness within their immediate environment.
This includes clearing drainage systems, properly disposing of waste, and ensuring their surroundings are kept tidy.
The initiative is aimed at promoting a clean, safe, and healthy environment across all communities within Ikosi-Ejinrin, while also preventing environmental hazards such as flooding and disease outbreaks.
Stakeholders, including community leaders, market operators, transport unions, and residents, have been urged to comply fully and support the exercise as a shared civic responsibility.
The council emphasized that collective participation is key to achieving a cleaner and more sustainable environment for all.
