Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 30-year-old man, Dare Shogaolu, popularly known as “Super M,” during a routine stop-and-search operation in Mushin, Eko Hot Blog reports.
According to the police, the suspect was picked up around 10 p.m. on March 5 along the LUTH Road axis while officers were carrying out a patrol in the area.

The command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, explaining that officers became suspicious after noticing the man behaving strangely while carrying a white and orange-yellow polythene bag.

Operatives from the Anti-Crime Patrol Team of Mushin Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, stopped the suspect and conducted a search of the bag.
During the search, officers allegedly recovered a locally made pistol.
Police also said other items found on him included a black leather purse, charms and three pairs of slippers.

Preliminary investigations, according to the command, suggest that the suspect may have been linked to criminal activities in the area and had allegedly been causing disturbances within the community.
The suspect is currently in police custody while further investigations continue.
The police added that efforts are ongoing to track down other suspected members of the group he may be associated with.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Olohundare Jimoh, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to proactive policing and ensuring the safety of residents across the state.
