The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has called on Nigerians to set aside differences and work towards unity and national development.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Obasa made the appeal in his Easter message to Christians, urging citizens to “roll away the stones of division” and embrace peace and togetherness.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Dave Agboola, the Speaker acknowledged the challenges currently facing the country, including security concerns and socio-economic pressures.
He, however, expressed optimism that Nigeria can overcome its difficulties if citizens remain united and committed to progress.

Describing Easter as a symbol of hope and victory over despair, Obasa said the season serves as a reminder that challenges can be conquered through faith and collective effort.
“Let us roll away the stones of division and despair, and work together for peace, justice, and prosperity,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to remain steadfast and committed to building a more peaceful and prosperous nation.
