EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a statement issued on Tuesday, the government said the decision was taken after consultations with security agencies and in response to the relative peace recorded after recent attacks in Angwan Rukuba.
The revised curfew, which will take effect from Wednesday, April 8, 2026, will now run from 6pm to 6am daily. This means residents are permitted to carry out their lawful activities between 6am and 6pm.
The government urged citizens to take note of the new arrangement and strictly comply with the curfew hours, emphasising that movement would only be allowed during the daytime window.
Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang also directed security agencies to ensure full enforcement of the curfew, stressing the need to safeguard lives and property while sustaining the fragile peace in the area.
Residents were further advised to remain indoors during the restricted hours, cooperate with security personnel, and provide any useful information that could assist authorities in maintaining law and order.
The government reiterated its commitment to restoring lasting peace in Jos North and called on the public to support ongoing efforts aimed at preventing a breakdown of security.
