Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Zone 2 Command in Onikan, Lagos, have arrested a 23-year-old suspect, Fawas Alarape, popularly known as Karube, over his alleged involvement in several violent crimes, Eko Hot Blog reports.
According to the police, Alarape is linked to multiple cases, including murder, armed robbery and theft.

His arrest followed an operation carried out on March 3, 2026, by the Zonal Puff Adder team.
Investigations later led officers to a suspected criminal hideout known as “Lion’s Den” on Adeleye Street in Orile Iganmu, where additional suspects were picked up in subsequent raids.
Police said Alarape and his gang members were allegedly responsible for the killings of Olumide Adegbite, Kehinde Shuaibu and Monday Okoro in separate incidents in February within the Orile Iganmu area.
During further operations, five other suspects were arrested at White Sand in the same area. Items recovered from them include a locally made shotgun, cutlasses, a knife, a hammer, live cartridges and charms.
Investigators also revealed that the suspect confessed to being involved in another killing in Surulere, where a tricycle rider was attacked and his vehicle taken.

Police spokesperson Gbenga Afolayan said the suspects are currently in custody and assisting with investigations. He added that they would be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Olohundare Jimoh, commended the officers for their efforts and assured residents of continued action against criminal activities in Lagos and Ogun states.
