President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed pride in the growth and transformation of Lagos, reflecting on his time as governor and the foundation his administration laid for the state’s modern development, Eko Hot Blog reports.
Speaking during the inauguration of key projects in Lagos, the President described the newly completed Ojota to Opebi link bridge as more than just infrastructure, calling it a pathway to economic opportunity and improved living standards.

Represented at the event by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Tinubu said efficient transportation remains central to economic productivity in a fast paced city like Lagos. He noted that when traffic flows freely, businesses thrive and residents experience a better quality of life.
He also pointed out that the projects delivered by the Lagos State Government show a strong commitment to putting people at the centre of development. According to him, the progress recorded proves that the state is actively addressing its mobility challenges.
The President further described the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building as a step toward a more transparent and efficient land administration system. He stressed that the use of data and technology is essential for proper planning and economic growth.

Tinubu said the projects align with his Renewed Hope agenda, which focuses on building a modern, digitally driven and economically strong nation. He added that the quality of the projects sets a standard that other states should follow.
He also appreciated the decision to name the new administrative complex after him, saying he accepted the honour with humility.
