A quiet community in Okitipupa has been thrown into mourning after a tragic incident that claimed the lives of three children.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the victims were reportedly killed by a man believed to be mentally unstable. Among those killed was said to be the suspect’s own son, while the other two were members of the extended family.

One of the victims was also described as a young female relative preparing to gain admission into a higher institution.
The incident reportedly happened inside the family residence, where the suspect allegedly attacked the victims with a machete before fleeing the scene.
Residents of the community say they are still in shock, as the reason behind the attack remains unclear. A local resident who spoke anonymously described the situation as heartbreaking, noting that the victims included a student and two young boys.
The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force in the state, Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the incident and said the suspect has been arrested. He added that the suspect will be charged in court.
The police also confirmed that the bodies of the victims have been deposited at the State Specialist Hospital in the area.
The incident has left the entire community grieving, as residents struggle to come to terms with the loss.
