EKO HOT BLOG reports that after a quiet first half, City took control immediately after the break with a decisive spell that settled the contest.
Nico O’Reilly opened the scoring in the 51st minute, heading home from close range after a cross from Rayan Cherki.

The win could prove crucial in the title run-in, with Pep Guardiola’s side set to face Arsenal in a potentially decisive clash at the Etihad Stadium on April 19.

Despite recent setbacks against West Ham United and Nottingham Forest, City appear to be regaining form at a critical stage of the season.
They have already secured silverware this campaign, beating Arsenal in the League Cup final and overcoming Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
For Chelsea, the defeat extends a difficult run under Liam Rosenior.
After winning his first four matches in charge, the Blues have managed just one win in their last seven games and have now lost three consecutive fixtures.
Chelsea are currently sixth and remain four points behind Liverpool in the race for Champions League qualification.
The hosts created chances in the first half but failed to convert them. Marc Cucurella had a goal ruled out for offside, while Pedro Neto forced a save from City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
City grew stronger as the game progressed, with Cherki playing a central role in their attacking play.

The French midfielder contributed to the first two goals, consistently breaking through Chelsea’s defensive structure and shifting momentum in City’s favour.
With confidence restored, City now turn their focus to the upcoming clash with Arsenal, a fixture that could shape the outcome of the title race.
