Drawing on his past political experience, including years in the Peoples Democratic Party, he said he had never witnessed a convention run with such a high level of coordination and professionalism.

He described the meeting as a model for political party organisation in Nigeria and used the occasion to project optimism about the ADC’s future.
According to him, the party is steadily building momentum toward taking control of national leadership.
Mark further told delegates that the convention marked the start of what he believes will be a successful journey to the presidency, encouraging members to see themselves as part of a historic movement that could reshape the country’s political direction.

The convention ended with a major decision as delegates overwhelmingly approved amendments to the party’s constitution.
The results were announced by the Chairman of the Electoral Sub-Committee, Emeka Ihedioha, who stated that 1,576 delegates were accredited for the exercise, while 11 ballots were rejected as invalid.
He added that 1,471 delegates voted in support of the constitutional changes, reflecting about 94 percent approval.
With the announcement, he confirmed that the amendments had been formally adopted following the vote held at the Rainbow Event Centre in Abuja.

Before the voting session, delegates reviewed and endorsed a series of resolutions from earlier National Executive Committee meetings.
These were presented by the Chairman of the Legal and Convention Processes Committee, Olumide Apata, while the party’s National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, detailed the key decisions.
Among the resolutions adopted were the relaxation of membership entry requirements, the suspension of zoning rules for leadership positions, and the temporary removal of the guideline that requires vacant offices to be filled by individuals from the same geopolitical zone as their predecessors.
In a major organisational restructuring, the NEC also dissolved the National Working Committee previously headed by Ralph Nwosu.
The convention later ratified this move, officially transferring leadership responsibilities to a newly constituted national leadership structure led by David Mark.
