Eko Hot Blog reports that among those who threw their weight behind his 2027 re-election bid to the Lagos State House of Assembly were the Arewa Community APC, All LAWMA Organizations, Eredo Market Women Association, and the Yeye Solidarity Group, all citing his inclusive leadership style and visible impact at the grassroots.
The endorsements came as part of a broader people-centered engagement strategy by the lawmaker, aimed at strengthening ties with constituents and reaffirming his commitment to effective representation.
In continuation of his outreach, Hon. Ogunkelu also launched a strategic tour alongside members of the Ogunkelu Sylvester Campaign Organization (OSCO), holding direct interactions with Baales across Ikosi–Ejinrin LCDA. The engagement provided an opportunity to connect with traditional leaders and discuss community needs and development priorities.
As part of the tour, he paid a courtesy visit to Rt. Hon. Jokotola Pelumi, a respected apex leader in the LCDA, further consolidating political support and unity within the constituency.
The lawmaker also visited notable groups including the Bamu Foundation and the Lagos for Lagos Movement, where he sought continued backing for his re-election ambition, emphasizing the need for continuity in delivering development to Epe Constituency II.
The day’s activities concluded at his residence in Eredo LCDA, where he hosted Sunday Market beneficiaries. In an interactive session, Hon. Ogunkelu engaged both indigenes and non-indigenes, listening to their concerns and offering reassurances of his commitment to inclusive governance.
Speaking during the engagement, he reiterated his dedication to representing all segments of the constituency.
“My focus remains on the people. I will continue to listen, engage, and work towards improving the lives of everyone in Epe Constituency II,” he said.
Observers note that the growing endorsements and sustained grassroots engagement reflect increasing confidence in his leadership as the 2027 political landscape gradually takes shape.
