Eko Hot Blog reports that the well-attended endorsement event, held at the Marina Waterfront, brought together party faithful, community leaders, and grassroots supporters who unanimously called for continuity, citing the lawmaker’s impactful representation and visible development projects across the constituency.
Speaking on behalf of the planning committee, the Chairman, Hon. Kenny Kadri Edu, highlighted the numerous achievements of the lawmaker, noting that his track record speaks volumes.
“We have carefully considered the good representation Rep. Wale Raji has brought to Epe over the years, from infrastructure and road construction to education, empowerment, welfare, solar power, and market development,” she said.
She added that the lawmaker has established a strong presence at the national level, which should be further strengthened.
“He has already built strong ground in Abuja. We believe he should be allowed to go for another term to consolidate on these gains and prepare the way for future leadership,” she stated.
Also speaking, the Apex Leader in Epe Division and Apase of Epe Land, Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu, reaffirmed the party’s position, urging total support for the lawmaker and other endorsed candidates.
“Rep. Wale Raji and Hon. Abiodun Tobun are the candidates our party has chosen. When the oracle speaks, no one argues. I urge everyone to support them fully,” he said.
In goodwill messages, prominent figures including the Vice Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe; Mogaji Ngeri of Epe Kingdom; Alhaja Alade Raji; and other stakeholders commended the lawmaker’s performance and pledged their continued support.
They described his leadership as inclusive, impactful, and people-oriented, stressing that his projects have directly improved the lives of constituents.
Responding to the endorsement, Rep. Wale Raji appreciated the overwhelming support and used the opportunity to highlight his achievements over the years, both within and outside the National Assembly.
He emphasized his commitment to delivering on his legislative responsibilities while also attracting developmental projects to the constituency.
“Our focus has always been on transforming lives and building a better future for our people. We will continue to do more,” he said.
A breakdown of his constituency projects reveals extensive interventions across key sectors. In infrastructure, he facilitated the construction of multiple roads across Epe, Eredo, Ikosi–Ejinrin, and Lekki LCDA, as well as the development of a modern divisional police headquarters, installation of about 2,000 solar street lights, provision of transformers, and construction of a 20-bed primary health centre in Iraye.
In the education sector, several schools have been constructed and upgraded, alongside 180 classrooms, student hostels, ICT centres, and teachers’ quarters, significantly improving learning conditions across the constituency.
Through training and human capital development, various skills acquisition programmes and empowerment initiatives have been implemented, benefiting youths, artisans, and farmers with training, grants, and tools.
Economic empowerment has also been a major focus, with the construction of over 800 market shops across different communities, establishment of cooperative societies, and distribution of financial grants and equipment to traders and small business owners.
In the area of social welfare, the Elderly Support Scheme (Owo Arugbo) has provided monthly stipends to beneficiaries, with over ₦90 million disbursed since its inception.
On the legislative front, the lawmaker has sponsored several motions, petitions, and bills addressing issues affecting his constituents and the nation at large.
Stakeholders at the event noted that the projects go beyond statistics, describing them as tangible impacts that have improved livelihoods and strengthened development across communities.
The endorsement by Ward A3 and A4 is seen as a significant political statement, reinforcing growing grassroots support for Rep. Wale Raji ahead of future electoral processes.
