The warning was raised during plenary by the Senator representing Bauchi Central, Abdul Ahmed Ningi, who expressed concern over how the situation is being handled.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that he said Nigeria has options to respond if the attacks persist.
He said, “If these things continue, we have alternatives, we have options, and therefore, these words should be sent across South Africa.
“We know where South Africans are, not only in Nigeria but all over Africa, and we can take this fight to their territory.”
Also speaking, former Edo State governor and senator, Adams Oshiomhole, urged the Federal Government to take decisive action against South African interests in Nigeria.
Oshiomhole called for retaliatory measures, including a review of the operations of South African-owned companies such as MTN Nigeria and MultiChoice Nigeria.
He said, “I am not going to shed tears. If you hit me, I hit you. I think it is appropriate in diplomacy. It is an economic struggle.”
The lawmaker added that Nigerians should take advantage of employment opportunities within these companies rather than depend on foreign labour narratives.
“When we hit back, the President of South Africa will not only talk but will also go on his knees to recognise that Nigeria cannot be intimidated.

“We will not condone any life being lost. If a crime has been committed under South African law, they have the right to bring any such person to justice, but to kill our people as if we are helpless, we will not allow that,” Oshiomhole added.
The remarks come amid renewed reports of attacks targeting Nigerians in South Africa.
