Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, to a total of 75 years imprisonment over a ₦33.8 billion fraud case.
The judgment was delivered on Tuesday after the court found the former minister guilty in connection with the fraud allegations linked to funds meant for power projects.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to the court, Justice Omotosho sentenced Mamman on multiple counts and ordered that the jail terms would run consecutively, bringing the total sentence to 75 years.
The judge further directed that the sentence would begin from the day the convict is arrested.
Justice Omotosho also ordered all security agencies, including Interpol, to arrest Mamman wherever he is found.
The court equally ruled that all monies and properties recovered from the former minister should be forfeited to the Federal Government.
In addition, the judge ordered the convict to refund the outstanding balance from the ₦22 billion reportedly meant for the Mambilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power projects.

The case formed part of ongoing efforts by anti-corruption authorities to investigate alleged financial misconduct involving public officials and government projects.
